We get the questions, “can I fill my hollow tree with cement.” We never recommend this for several reasons: first, cement doesn’t bond with wood; second, rubbing can occur worsening the problem; and third, cement holds moisture. If the tree is hollow and near a structure, a tree removal is recommended. Here in Grand Rapids, MI, we remove lots of dead and hollowed trees near house. Learn more about cement in trees.
